On Thursday, April 21 a team of over 100 volunteers from PPG and their partner, the Air Canada Foundation, are coming to Variety Village to give our community a much-needed makeover.
The Colorful Communities program is PPG’s signature initiative for supporting communities. It aims to protect and beautify the neighborhoods where PPG operates around the world. Through the Colorful Communities program, PPG’s committed volunteers contribute their time and PPG paint products to help transform community assets. Since 2015, PPG has completed more than 386 Colorful Communities projects, impacting more than 7.4 million people in 42 countries.
“It’s a great honour to be a Colourful Communities project recipient and to be able to enjoy and share this beautiful transformation with our members” says Karen Stintz, Variety Village CEO.
PPG is contributing more than 136 gallons of paint worth just under $10,000 to update the building areas such as the lobby, hallways, cafeteria, offices, day program rooms and change rooms.
When designing spaces for these children, it is very important to consider not only safety and comfort, but color and shade that adorns the walls in the facility. PPG has mobilized their product and color experts to select just the right colours for Variety’s community.
